Here you can see all your exercises listed. You can edit or delete them here. Before you can create any exercise, you need to create at least one lesson because exercises blelong to lessons.

After you saved your exercise, you can add questions to it by clicking the "Add new question" button.

  • Internal title of the gap fill: this title is only visible in the admin.
  • Order: The order of the question in this exercise.
  • Question: this is the text you want to display to the user. The gaps should be enclosed within square brackets. For example: He [is] a teacher. Multiple correct answer can be provided by separating them with the pipe symbol. For example: He is a [great|nice|cool] teacher.
Text Exercise

In a "Text" exercise the settings are similar to the "Gap fill" exercise, but here you don't need to create questions. You just need to provide text that will be displayed to the user.

Video Exercise

In a "Video" exercise the settings are similar to the "Gap fill" exercise, but here you don't need to create questions. You just need to provide the embed code of the video that will be displayed to the user. In the "Embed video code" option paste the iframe code of the video from youTube, Vimeo etc.

Select Image Exercise

The "Select Image" exercise is only available in SonicLMS Pro. In a "Select image" exercise the settings are similar to the "Gap fill" exercise, but here you don't need to create questions. This exercise type relies on the "Word Database", so please add words to the words database before using this exercise type. Here are the options that are unique to this exercise type:

  • Select Words: In the first field start typing the words you'd like to add. If the word exists in the word database, it will appear. Click on it to add it to the second field. You can add as many words to the exercise as you want, but you have to add at least two.
  • Reverse source and target language: If you set this to yes, it will override the main course setting. By using this option you can create even more diverse exercises. For example you can create an exercise that will teach English to Spanish or Spanish to English.
  • Enable source audio: If you set this to yes, an audio icon will be displayed on the source word card and if you uploaded audio to the word, the user will be able to listen to it.
  • Enable target audio: If you set this to yes, an audio icon will be displayed on the target word card and if you uploaded audio to the word, the user will be able to listen to it.
